Zelensky Does NOT Acknowledge US Debt!
Embattled Ukrainian Leader Says Hundreds of Billions of American Taxpayers’ Dollars 'Was a Grant, Not a Loan'
If you thought that the bilateral relations between the US and Ukraine were going badly, just wait until this new piece of news reverberates: it turns out that ‘dictator without elections’ Volodymyr Zelensky has gone public to declare that he does NOT acknowledge the hundreds of billions of dollars in debt to the US.
Yes, you read it right. Emboldened by the support of the weakened and delusional Eurocrats, Zelensky is now risking terrible retaliation by the Trump administration.
We all remember that Trump has alerted the Ukrainian regime that ‘they may or they may not become Russia.’
It sounds exaggerated, but it’s only the hard-earned US taxpayer money that kept the Russian Federation forces from taking Kiev, Odessa and everything in between.
Even with unprecedented US financial and military support, Russia has conquered more than 20 percent of the country, including all of the Azov Sea coast, most of the Black Sea coastal areas, and the eastern regions of Luhansk and Donetsk, where most of the mineral riches are.
RT reported:
“Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has said his country will not repay the assistance it has received from the US since the start of the conflict with Russia. He also suggested that US President Donald Trump’s estimate that Kiev owes $350 billion is grossly exaggerated.”
Trump has demanded that Kiev reimburse Washington for all the aid provided, by signing over the rights to its natural resources as a form of compensation.
“Speaking at the ‘Ukraine. Year – 2025’ forum in Kiev on Sunday, Zelensky stated that ‘Ukraine received $100 billion [in aid] from the US, not $350, not $500, not $700’, stressing that he was ‘not ready to recognize even $100 billion’ as debt. He claimed that he had reached an agreement with former US President Joe Biden that the money was being provided as a grant, and that no repayment had been expected.”
Ukrainska Pravda reported:
“Quote from Zelenskyy: ‘I'm not going to sign something that ten generations of Ukrainians will be paying for’.
Background: Under the agreement, Kyiv and Washington will set up the Reconstruction Investment Fund for Ukraine's recovery, with the US maintaining 100% financial interest. Both countries will manage the fund jointly.”
Imagine: You have signed a loan from a bank. Later you tell the collection agency that money was in fact a 'grant' and you will not acknowledge the transaction as a "loan". OK, now, what do you believe [expect] the collection agency's actions will be? Yeh, me too. Look out mister - our 'collection agency' is after YOU.
