March is ending. This time of the year is trying to the soul, since the days are getting shorter, the night is starting to fall earlier, but still - the heat hasn't subsided.
March is ending. We had a typical tropical storm today in Rio: it's Noah and the Ark for forty minutes, the street transmutes in a river, thunderbolt and lighting, very, very frightening indeed - but a couple of hours later the heat is almost drying up the pavement again.
waters of march
March is ending, my first month writing for the Gateway Pundit. Actually, I only worked in the last 2 weeks. A fortnight.
During this time, my 10 posts/news pieces there generated 117k views. That's far from monumental, of course, but for this humble guitarist from a distant shore, it's quite a strong start.
Follow me with the numbers, here: almost any post of mine here in the War Blog, nowadays, gets from 1,5 to 1,8k views. A good story gets from 3 to 7k, and my best viewed article that got promoted by a few big accounts, got 16k.
These are healthy metrics, result of 13 months of concentrated work. I'm very proud of it. The War Blog is the place where I can do unfettered, personal work like I still can't do anywhere else.
However, do compare: in my first two weeks writing for the Gateway Pundit, I'm still finding my way about it and learning to spot and responsibly source and write stories at a much greater speed, without losing sight of the quality.
In this fortnight, I got an average of nearly 12k per news piece, not one had less than 5k and the most viewed one rose to 25k.
I guess by now you understand where I'm going with this: just project, and imagine where I could be in a year's time. C R A Z Y.
Also, the GP is a news site where a powerful story at the right time habitually generates hundreds of thousands of views.
In mafia-movie terms, I do feel like a newly-made guy, wielding a lot more power but carrying a lot more responsibilities, in a context where the stakes are much higher.
March is ending. And 'April showers' promise a LOT of geopolitical turmoil just about everywhere. I will be here to brave the news cycle - day in, day out - and night, too!

The concept of hive minds in this Great Awakening is growing more than ever now. Anons used to be a lonely bunch, but we are at a breakthrough event, still upcoming in my opinion. Show the light with sauce, and they will come Paul. Keep on keeping on now.
in this part of the world, the days are getting longer, albeit still trying to the soul....cold and rainy
